Shri Nathji seldom had occasion to meet other mahatmas, so pre-occupied was he with the people.
But genuine saints, wherever they were, recognised Shri Nathji’s divinity and had respect for him. There was Swami Sivananda who had just taken to the spiritual path, during the days of Shri Babaji Maharaj, and who would come to the darbaar of Shri Babaji Maharaj and later to Shri Nathji at Lahore and Amritsar, and who would prostrate before Shri Nathji with intense faith and devotion.
There was also Swami Nirmal who frequently sent Shri Nathji an offering on Guru Poornima Day, and requested him to visit Amritsar to enlighten the populace. Only you can tackle these hard-core intellectuals, like the lawyers and judges here, he would say to Shri Nathji. He used to listen to Shri Nathji’s sermons with great reverence and devotion, and knew him since the time he met Shri Nathji in the village of Kul-Kanjari in Amritsar. Swami Nirmal would not hesitate to touch Shri Nathji’s feet even when he was in the company of his disciples, so great was his respect for Shri Nathji. He had virtually memorised Shri Nathji’s monumental thesis on spirituality: “Payaame Muhabbat”– “A Message of Love” and in all his ashrams the morning incantations would begin with Shri Nathji’s verses in the book:

“Saakiyaa hamko jahaan men ab too aisaa jaam de
Jo hamaare kalbe muztar ko bhee kuchh aaraam de
Torr kar ghaflat ke daamon ko banaa aazaad ab
Yaani phir roohon ko ab too rooh kaa paighaam de

O Saki, give us Thou such a Cup in the world,
Which will bring peace to our restless hearts
Break Thou the bonds of ignorance, and make us free,
Give Thou to the souls a Message of the Soul!

Apart from these saints there was also Sadhu Vaswani in his early days, who would come to Shri Nathji with great reverence and say to him: “He Nath mere haathh men bhee kuchh daal de! Put something in my hands as well!”
Then there was Mahatma Sita Ram Sharan of Chitrakoot who had recognised Shri Nathji to be Lord Rama upon earth and had become his, forever.
And there was Sant Pachlegaonkar of Maharashtra who has declared openly: “Bass! Issee cheez kaa intazaar thhaa! Enough! This is what the world was waiting for!”
The learned Muslim Faquir at Bombay had been so affected by Shri Nathji that he had gone into a deep meditation, chanting:
“Allah! Allah! Allah!” and had later said, “Maine aisee Ruhaani Taakat aaj tak naheen dekhi! I have never seen such a great spiritual power before!”
Earlier, in 1935, there had been Rehana Tyyab, who later became a great saint in her own right, and who saw in Shri Nathji the holiest of the holy, and would say about Shri Nathji:
“Every inflection of that gentle voice contains for me the Scriptures, Vedas, Bible and Koran, all compressed into a half breath a half note. For me he is a manifestation of the Divine!”
“As I parted from Shri Nathji at Kahkashan Mussoorie, I turned once again to get a last glimpse of him–and I saw a large glowing Sun where he was standing. I pray that that vision may never fade for me right upto death and beyond.”
