These were the years when Bhutt Sahib was to feel the pangs of separation from his Lord and Master. When Shri Nathji went abroad in 1963 and began a long sojourn in London, Bhutt Sahib and his wife, Gangabai Bhutt, lost interest in life:
What is the use of our living on this earth, if we cannot be close to Shri Nathji?
However, even then, Shri Bhutt wrote to Shri Nathji in 1964:
“We wait in vain when you would return to us. However, one thing is certain, that there is a Divine Plan behind all your actions, although we see it only when it is ultimately revealed. So I personally have never questioned or doubted your activities which appear to me to be controlled by the sincere desire of devotees.”
