Priya Nath had at first hesitated to take Shri Nathji by plane as he did not know how Shri Nathji’s system would react to an air ride, but Shri Nathji was so overjoyed at the coming of Pran Nath and was so determined to go, that there was no alternative.
The day was Christmas Day, December 25, 1979. Shri Nathji and Priya Nath boarded the Indian Airlines plane, flight number 176, at Nagpur airport. The time was 3:20 p.m. The flight was to leave at 3:35 p.m. and to arrive in Bombay at 4:50 p.m.
Shri Nathji and Priya Nath were sitting on adjacent seats in the plane. Shri Sahadevji was sitting next to them. Shri Nathji, who had been speaking to the devotees at home before he came to the airport, did not appear the least bit tired, and, even as the plane took off from the soil of Nagpur, he said:
There are many good things in life that come suddenly. One moment we are asleep, and the next moment we wake up. Today is a day of sudden joy at the coming of Shri Pran Nathji. We are flying above the clouds. Beneath us we can see the houses and the earth. But our hearts are going out towards Shri Pran Nathji as we go to meet him. I had remained for two years in one place and nothing could make me move, but Shri Pran Nathji’s arrival has brought me out. We are going only a short distance to meet him while he has crossed the oceans to come to meet us. This will be the union of the two brothers–Pran Nath and Priya Nath.
“How pleased is the soul of Shri Babaji Bhagwan today! His grandsons have become truly grand in the real sense today – the grandest! This is the time when a new era is to dawn. After this there shall be only joy and happiness in the world. After a period of separation of ten years there is going to be a union, a union which will never end.
“May peace and prosperity follow the two brothers. No one can match their sacrifice. A fish knows how to swim from the time of its birth. Another person may become an excellent swimmer but he can never swim like a fish! Some souls come into this world ever prepared. Pran Nathji and Priya Nathji have not to become anything, they are already what they were intended to be. They have not to learn anything, they have come to teach others.
