Shri Nathji had entered deep within the heart and soul of Istafa Khan. The spiritual relationship was very real. Muslims could not conceive of a being like the avatar, but they found in Shri Nathji a being so beautiful spiritually that they revered him with a respect they reserved only for the holiest of the holy.
