The season had ended in Mussoorie around October 1929 and the cold Autumn nights had set in, but Shri Nathji stayed on in the silence of solitude.  Shri Nathji had often said:
Chorro mujhe bekhud meraa aaraam yehi hai
Be naamo nishaan raihne do bas naam yehi hai
Leave me alone in my solitude, this is my only rest,
Let me be without a name–that is my only name
Istafa Khan came to Shri Nathji and said to him: Hazrat, the cold has set in, and all the people have left Mussoorie–why do you still stay on?
I have no desires left within me, said Shri Nathji, whenever the divine impulse comes upon me, I will move!
I request you to come with me to Lucknow and stay at my house there, said Istafa Khan.
