While Shri Nathji was at Lucknow and at Mussoorie in turns, during those days, a Raja and his Rani used to come for Shri Nathji’s darshan and blessings at Mussoorie. They had intense faith in him and greatly treasured the cardamoms that he gave out as prasaad after his sermons.
Shri Nathji gave the cardamoms to the Raja first, and, as Shri Nathji was handing out cardamoms to the Rani, one of the cardamoms slipped from her hand and dropped on Shri Nathji’s shoe. The Rani was elated.
The prasaad has been made doubly blessed, she said, it has touched your feet as well!
The Raja, who had already taken his prasaad, and who had been watching the scene, immediately took a cardamom and began rubbing it vigorously on Shri Nathji’s foot!
Now I, too, have a prasaad that is doubly blessed, he said.
Not exactly, said the Rani, my prasaad is real-asal, while yours is an imitation-nakal.
