Sardar Jaswant Singh, who lived in Sarvodya Enclave, was another moth that flew around the Divine Flame of Shri Nathji. Many years earlier in life, he had had an intensely spiritual experience as he passed by a Mandir. Some inner voice had told him of the approach of a Great Spiritual Soul. He felt this fulfilment when he met Shri Nathji.
He would be seen at Shri Nathji’s residence, waiting outside for late hours in the night, along with his wife. The two lived only a few houses away and were amongst the fortunate few to whom Shri Nathji had made himself known.
Shri Nathji had become very pleased with him when one night he had rushed over to Shri Nathji’s house, where Priya Nath’s dog Blackie had died. Shri Nathji and Priya Nath did not know where to bury the dog. Jaswant Singh went out in their car and took them to a deserted area close to the Qutab Minar where he found a pit in which he placed the dog.
Shri Nathji never forgot that instance of sewa from Jaswant Singh. He blessed him so that the man’s business flourished. Jaswant Singh had named his business, “Oasis Enterprises” as suggested by Priya Nath.
It was on one of Shri Nathji’s birthdays at Sarvodya Enclave that he received a telegram offering him a lucrative order in his business. His life was miraculously saved when the cooler in his house almost electrocuted him. On another occasion, a dangerous fire in his house was controlled by an unseen hand.
He always made it a point to be with Shri Nathji on the eve of every New Year, so that the seconds would tick away the past and bring in the future in the presence of a living God.
