The sounds of music, devotional songs, and Shri Nathji’s divine aura transformed the place into a little Mathura for a while, where Lord Krishna’s living presence had been felt thousands of years ago. Hundreds of little girls and boys swarmed around Shri Nathji, singing a welcome to Lord Krishna.
There was an atmosphere of rejoicing in the city. It had been flooded with a wave of Love Divine. Chandrapur was one of the first cities in the country to have portraits of Shri Nathji and Mateshwari in the form of Krishna and Radha.
These pictures had been taken in Lahore at the insistence of Gangabai Bhutt, and later brought over to Chandrapur in 1945. The portrait had been published in the Kalyan Magazine of the time, and was described as one of the most beautiful pictures ever seen.
It appeared that Shri Nathji had a special relationship with this small city.
