There were the inevitable clashes between the two ladies, Tara Buty and Gangabai Bhutt, as each sought to regulate the schedules of Shri Nathji.
Gangabai Bhutt was ever concerned that Shri Nathji might tire himself too much, speaking for hours on end, and she made it a habit to stand up in the middle of Shri Nathji’s lectures as a signal that he should stop lest he tire himself.
This frightened Tara Buty many times as she thought that Gangabai Bhutt might be disrupting the best part of the function. In the end, Tara Buty had to submit to Mrs. Bhutt’s seniority.
Apart from Gangabai Bhutt, there were the devotees who had come from various parts of Maharashtra for Shri Nathji’s darshan and blessings. Here were a host of genuine devotees, for the sake of whom Shri Nathji existed.
