Gangabai Bhutt and Manjul Kavi were blissful that people were experiencing the truth in Shri Nathji. However, Gangabai Bhutt had one wish that she wanted Shri Nathji and Mateshwari to fulfil.
She had brought with herself the Radha Krishna dress that she had especially made for Shri Nathji and Mateshwari. She had made them wear this dress at Lahore on the 23rd of December 1944 and then again on the 21st of February 1945 there.  People had swooned at the divine sight. She wanted Shri Nathji and Mateshwari to wear the dress before the public at Harda.
At first Shri Nathji and Mateshwari would not hear of it. It was one thing wearing the dress before their own devotees at Lahore but quite another wearing the dress before total strangers.
Besides, the people were experiencing God from within their souls and had no need of external embellishments to augment their faith.
Bhutt, too, tried to dissuade his wife from carrying out her wish. But Gangabai Bhutt was pleading desperately with Shri Nathji. She had already made an announcement before the people that Shri Nathji and Mateshwari would be appearing before them in that form. Shri Nathji was in a dilemma. If he refused to wear the dress, Gangabai Bhutt would lose face with the public, and if he wore the dress it would invoke different reactions in different people.
Shri Nathji never believed in propagating his godhood openly in the fashion that Gangabai Bhutt desired. Gangabai Bhutt was overflowing with the sentiment that she had to portray Shri Nathji as God before the world. This was something Shri Nathji did not desire.
He had always said that the truly deserving souls would find him out, no matter where he was and no matter what he was wearing.
However, because Shri Nathji was not one to break anyone’s heart, far less that of such a great devotee like Gangabai Bhutt, he reluctantly consented to Gangabai’s wishes.
The people of Harda witnessed a sight the likes of which they had never seen before. For a while they were transported to the land of Gokul where Lord Krishna had taken an avatar. Mateshwari was Radheji. The divine light flashed dazzlingly but momentarily and then hid itself. The people were bewildered; they could not understand what was happening.
