The birthday function on the 23rd of June 1953 at Savitri Nivas was an unusual one. The verandah of the house thrilled with the voice of Dr. Gobind Babtiwale and Dr. Purekar as they sang:

Mere Bhola Naathaa ko milne chalaa
Apne preetam se aanand lootne chalaa

I go forth to meet my Bhola Nath
I go for the bounty of Love from my Beloved

Pyaare teri muskaan ko dekhte sudh har gayaa
Baaton se teri preet ki aanand se main phool gayaa
Bhagwat charan ko main churne chalaa
Mere Bhola Naathaa ko milne chalaa

On beholding thy smile I lost myself,
Thy words of love filled me with bliss,
I go now to touch the feet of the Lord,
I go forth to meet my Bhola Nath

Maani na nindaa lok ki na raah rishtedaar ki
Parvaa na kee dhan haani ki kaparron ki naa ye jism ki
Rishtaa Prabhu se jurraane chalaa
Mere Bhola Naathaa ko milne chalaa

Caring not for the jibes of the world or for relationships,
Caring not for the loss of wealth, or for clothes or this body,
I go to make a relationship with the Lord,
I go forth to meet my Bhola Nath

Dekhte hee Nath ko charanon se main liptaa rahoon
Premaashru se pyaare charan main prem se dhotaa rahoon
Main-pan kaa khaatmaa main karne chalaa
Mere Bhola Naathaa ko milne chalaa

On beholding Nath may I cling to his feet
May I wipe his beloved feet with the tears of my Love,
I go now to vanquish this ego of mine–
I go forth to meet my Bhola Nath

Apnaa hee lenge pyaar se ye deen durbal paapi ab
Dard apnaa deke vohee dukh mitaayenge sab
Vishayon se chhutkaaraa paane chalaa
Mere Bhola Naathaa ko milne chalaa

He shall make us his own, with his love, weak and helpless sinners,
He shall give us His pain and relieve us of all sorrow
I go to secure a release from desires,
I go forth to meet my Bhola Nath

Haazir hai nazaraanaa yehi laachaari durbaltaa sahi
Aansoo pachtaave ke do hee Gobind se le le yehi
Paapon kee Holi jalaane chalaa
Mere Bhola Naathaa ko milne chalaa

I present this gift to thee, of my helplessness and frailty,
Two tears of repentance, take Thou from Gobind here,
I go to burn the Fire of my sins,
I go forth to meet my Bhola Nath

For the people of Mussoorie it was a most unusual sight, to see doctors and lawyers standing up to dance even as they sang hymns to their Lord Bhola Nathji sitting before them. The atmosphere in the verandah of Savitri Nivas was surcharged with a divine current. Shri Nathji’s divine light was pouring forth from the countenances of his devotees as well.
Dr. Babtiwale had so merged himself in the thought of Shri Nathji that even his face had begun to bear a resemblance to Shri Nathji’s face.
