Shri Nathji met so many people in life, and had so personal a relationship with all of them, that a book could be written separately on the experiences of each individual who met him. And yet, it was to the credit of the phenomenal memory of Shri Nathji that he remembered even the minutest of details, howsoever trifling, of his association with the hundreds and thousands who had met him.
He would remember small details of the homes he had visited years ago; he would remember the number of children the family had; he would even recall the servants and the pets. This showed how genuinely concerned he was for the humanity around him. He was the Creator, and it was His duty to be aware of all that happened–in the past, present, or future.
Justice B. P. Sinha was surprised when Shri Nathji met him after twenty years and asked him about the health of a dear relative of his who had a weak heart, and who had always been upset by fast driving.
Another devotee was surprised when Shri Nathji recalled how he had called out to him in an urgent tone at Lahore, when the devotee was trying to put his shoes on. The devotee gave up the effort, and, taking his shoes in his hands, came running to Shri Nathji who was waiting in a car for him. Shri Nathji never forgot that gesture of obedience and always narrated it before others. It was only the greatness of Shri Nathji that he remembered these little things.
Whenever he met people for the first time he would say:
You think you have met me only today! But ours is a relationship that dates back to eternity! In the very beginning of creation it was decreed that this moment shall come today!”
“Lord Krishna had once said to Arjuna.
`You and I have been born many times. I remember the births, but you do not!’

‘Arjuna, tere mere bahut janam huye, mujhe yaad hain, tujhe yaad naheen!’”

Then again Shri Nathji would say:
I love you more than you love yourselves! And a proof of this is, that you may frequently think ill of yourselves, but I will never think ill of you! To your circle of friends, relatives and acquaintances, I have made one more addition–myself. Give me a small place within your hearts, where a variety of relationships already exists!
Whenever any of his devotees would worry, he would say:
Do not let your hearts be shaken by worry. Remember, I am sitting within. And when your hearts shake, I can feel the jerks!

“Main aapke dilon men baithaa hoon. Jab aap hilte hain to mere oopar bhoochaal aa jaataa hai!”
