Shakuntala had three daughters. It was a difficult task during those days to get all the three daughters married on her husband’s meagre salary. However miracles occurred–and all her daughters were married, effortlessly, one by one, by Shri Nathji’s Grace.
Her eldest daughter, Usha, was distraught after her marriage, as she had given birth only to girl babies. Her husband and in-laws were unhappy. She prayed to Shri Nathji to save her. And one night she had a dream in which Shri Nathji appeared before her and dropped a son into her lap. Her next child was a son. This son is a prasaad from you, said Shakuntala to Shri Nathji.
Then there was Aruna, the second daughter of Shakuntala, who had served Shri Nathji more than any of the others when he resided at their house at 37, Lady Hardinge Road. She would cook in the kitchen and prepare the best of dishes for Shri Nathji, Mateshwari and the children, and would be ever concerned for their health and welfare, and would rejoice when she saw them gaining weight from her cooking. Amongst all the daughters of Shakuntala, Aruna was the one who, was in later life, to have the greatest prosperity when she was married into a wealthy household.
Here was yet another example of the rich rewards that came to people when they served Shri Nathji with devotion.
