Shri Nathji had received pressing invitations to come to Allahabad where a large number of devotees were waiting for his darshan, the chief amongst whom being Sardar Harbjahan Singh Chopra and his family.
Shri Nathji had last been in Allahabad in 1942 and the seed of devotion he had sown there had grown into a tree with numerous fruits.
Shri Nathji decided to go by car because the boys enjoyed car rides. It was to be a long and tedious drive across narrow, dusty roads, which the body of the new Standard car was scarcely suited to, but Shri Nathji decided to undertake the journey if only to keep the children happy.
