Amongst the devotees was Shri Kasturilal who had been a poor seller of sweets in the streets. He had first had Shri Nathji’s darshan at 37, Lady Harding Road, when Shri Nathji had stayed briefly at the house of Shri Vaid Raj Sudhanwa in 1949. His heart had at once accepted Shri Nathji as God. He would save money, by not drinking buttermilk, lassi, during the summer months, and would send forty rupees to Shri Nathji each time. As a reward for his service, he became a renowned singer and later became the owner of a large house and a music school in Karol Bagh, Delhi. He was a patient of tuberculosis and would have died from the disease had it not been for Shri Nathji’s divine power that kept him alive.
