At 4 a.m. on the 7th of October, 1987, Shri Nathji gets up from his bed and comes over to Priya Nath’s bedside, patting Priya Nath on the hand and singing joyfully:“Happy, Happy, Birthday to you!Priya Nath records in his daily diary: “Pitaji is so very, very good. No human being in the whole world is like him, or will ever be like him. Even when he had got up at 4 a.m. on Wednesday morning, he sang ‘happy birthday’ for me. He loves me more than anyone in the world, and I love Him in that way myself! O Lord, please never let anything take my Beloved Pitiji away from me. He is my only, only, Love in this world.”On October 7, 1987, at Shri Nathji’s behest, a ‘“Jeeo laakhon varsh tak tum, ‘Priya’ kaa naam oonchaa ho,“May you live for thousands of years, glorifying the name of ‘Priya’Thereafter the second ghazal of Shri Nathji was played, which had been sung and recorded by Priya Nath himself. Without you the celebration will lack lustre.”The devotee came and sat through the function, but with little change in demeanour. “There are some stone-hearted persons who will never change – not even if the gods, Vishnu, Brahama and Mahesh, appear before them in the fulness of their Glory!”““I have never asserted my Will upon anyone!”He had also once said:“Maine to saari umr har ek ke aage mit kar kaati hai!“I have spent my entire life in humility before all!”Shri Nathji is so affectionate towards everyone, and treats all of humanity as His children upon earth.
