It was now 1987. Dr. Zeltzer was meeting Shri Nathji at Shri Nathji’s home in New Delhi after a physical separation of 23 years.“I feel as if we had just parted,” he says to Priya Nath.Harry has a virulent cough and Priya Nath is worried whether he should allow him to come before Shri Nathji. He asks Harry whether he has taken any antibiotics and Harry replies that he has not, because it is a dry cough and he has not had any fever. Priya Nath concludes that it is probably an allergic cough which cannot be contracted by anyone else. He asks Shri Nathji to come and give his darshan to Harry in the big room.“Let me sit lower than you. Let me take in and absorb every word of what you say!”Priya Nath fortunately records the entire talk of Shri Nathji on tape. The last time Shri Nathji had spoken to Harry Zeltzer was in America in 1964, when Zeltzer had come to visit Shri Nathji at Priya Nath’s apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At that time Shri Nathji had spoken for five hours at a stretch drenching Zeltzer’s soul in an ocean of Love Divine. A lasting, eternal relationship had been established.“Phir dekhiye andaazaye gulifshaaniye guftaar“Listen then to the words, like showerings of flowersThere were also Shri Nathji’s words on this theme:“Tahi daston kaa rutbaa aihle daulat se zyaadaa hai,“The worth of empty hands is greater than the wealth of the world,Shri Nathji’s Divine Flow of words was always inspired by the listener. He would say:“Ye main naheen bol rahha, ye aap bol rahe hain! Aur iskaa sabot? Jab tak aap aaye naheen thhe main chup thhaa; jab aap chale jaayenge main chup ho jaaoongaa. Jab tak aap mere saamne hain, main bol rahaa hoon – to aap hi to bol rahe hain! “It is not I who am speaking but you! And the proof? Before you came, I was silent. After you are gone I shall be silent again. I am speaking only for as long as you are before me – therefore, it is you who are speaking and not I!”This was Shri Nathji’s humility reaching out to give honour to his listeners.“Priya, I don’t like to see you serving on me!”Since there was no cook in the house, Priya Nath said with his characteristic humour to Harry:“Harry, a small breakfast in India means tea and biscuits, while a large breakfast means more tea and a large number of biscuits!”Harry laughed loudly and said: “Priya, I enjoy your humour!”Before Harry Zeltzer left, he came into Shri Nathji’s bedroom to say goodbye and to take his blessings. Shri Nathji was sitting up in his bed even as Harry came into his room. Shri Nathji divine flow of words went out with great feeling. These parting words touched Harry Zeltzer to the core of his soul. “His Holiness brings tears to my eyes!”Priya Nath sees Harry Zeltzer off at the gate of the house, where a taxi takes him to the airport.
