There is disturbing news in the newspaper of the death of President Zia-ul-Haq of Pakistan in an Air crash. Shri Nathji is saddened at the news and says:“Zindagi ki koyi keemat naheen. Uski laash tak ke tukarre naheen mil rahe, taake“Life has no value at all. They could not even find the pieces of his dead body for a funeral!”And, Shri Nathji adds, characteristically, castigating himself for “wasting time” – when actually he is the busiest person upon earth! He says:“Ab kuchh kar lenaa chahiye, barraa buraa lagtaa hai ke time niklaa jaa rahaa hai – meri iss umar men!“We must accomplish something now! It is very bad to see time pass by like this–at this age of mine!”Shri Nathji also tells Priya Nath that he must maintain a certain reserve and not give so freely of his time to all and sundry – as Priya Nath had been doing these days, speaking to Ramesh Chander Sharma and his friends etc., in the big room:“Har ek ke saamne aise naheen bichh jaanaa chaahiye. Thhorraa apnaa rob rakhnaa chaahiye!”
