In a moment of reverie, Shri Nathji began to rue the fact that neither Pran Nath nor Priya Nath had continued the line of Shri Babaji Maharaj. Shri Nathji had often quoted Shri Babaji who had said at the time when he persuaded Shri Nathji to marry:“Daadon ko pote bahut pyaare hote hain! Babaji Pranji ko godShri Nathji said in a moment of revelation:“It is a very strange law of Nature that does not allow descendants of Avatars to come into the world. After Lord Rama there were his sons, Lav and Kush. However after Lav and Kush there were no descendants of Lord Rama and his divine lineage vanished. In later days Shri Nathji wrote a ghazal which appeared to bear witness to this fact:“Naamo nishaan naa poochho mere nishaan kahaan hai“Do not ask of the signs of my Existence, for where, indeed, can my signs be!”At the time Priya Nath thought that Shri Nathji had written this because he wished to go out of the history of the world, however when he thought about it deeply, it occurred to him that perhaps what Shri Nathji was referring to was the vanishing altogether of his lineage from the face of the earth. “Iss vishva men Ganga baihti rahe!
