Those were the days when Shri Nathji had composed a beautiful ghazal, during the period of his illness, which was written on the evolution of the world – and how ultimately the evolution was meant to unite man with God. At first Priya Nath had thought it was too intellectual a theme for a ghazal – and that he would not be able to compose a tune to it. “Ye vakte irtakaa aalam men dekhaa barrtaa jaataa hai“The evolution of the world goes on with time,There was the touching verse in the above ghazal, which defined the final stage of evolution of man:“Jahaan ko aaj milkar ham banaaden ik janaa soorat“Let us together convert this world into a Face of LoveShri Nathji had endorsed Darwin’s Theory of Evolution and had added a new dimension to it, in which man became so filled with the Glory of God that even the angels in heaven had to come and look upon him.
