The son of the late devotee of Shri Nathji, Atmaram Godbole of Maharashtra, comes for Shri Nathji’s darshan. He used to weep as he prostrated at Shri Nathji’s feet when he was only 13 years old, and he used to sing along with his father:“Duniyaan ke sitam se khaaye hooeyTormented by the world, we have come to sit at Thy door.”As also :“Tere phoolon se bhee pyaarAnd we also love Thy thorns – Godbole’s words had a melancholic tinge to them as he had sung:“Nathji ne aaj meraa dil churaa liyaa“Nathji has stolen my heart,His son, whose name was Kashinath, and who had been only 13 years old at the time, had the same faith and devotion in Shri Nathji as his father. He was now 28 years old in July 1988 as he prostrated before Shri Nathji. His father’s soul appeared to speak through him as he wept loud tears at the feet of Shri Nathji and said:“Hamen kabhee alag na karnaa!”“Never separate us from Thyself!”Shri Nathji’s verse rang out eloquently on this theme. Those whom God made His own were never separated from Him again:“Avval to iss kooche men koyi aanaa naheen paataa“It is difficult to enter this Lane of Love Divine,Shri Nathji later had to remove his socks which were made wet by the tears of Kashinath!
