Priya Nath writes a very humorous poem on the latter-day ‘gurus’ who are after name and fame only, and create a great confusion amongst those genuinely thirsting for spiritual truths. The comical ‘poem’ of Priya Nath, which makes Shri Nathji laugh heartily, is based on Lord Tennyson’s poem: ‘The Charge of the Light Brigade’ which Priya Nath had studied in school and thoroughly enjoyed. There is not to reason why,Shri Nathji had often said that people walking on the spiritual path had much to learn from soldiers, who followed the orders of their superiors, even if these orders led them to their deaths. People walking on the spiritual path had to learn of Courage and Discipline from the men of the army:“Ek fauji ke saamne, har vakt maut hoti hai! A soldier has death before him all the time!”People walking on the spiritual path had also to accept the Divine Will at all times, even if it brought death to them. They had not to make reply or reason why, but merely to say: “Thy Will be Done!”“Gurus to the left of themShri Nathji laughs for a long time, when he listens to Priya Nath recite his poem. However, Priya Nath observes that Shri Nathji, despite his laughter and undaunted zest, is looking very weak.
