As Shri Nathji begins to fall ill again, Priya Nath panics, and loses all control over himself, and begins arguing with Shri Nathji – and is ever sorry and repentant afterwards. It is a typical father and son scene repeated again and again, with Shri Nathji and Priya Nath being vexed with each other, and Shri Nathji wondering what had gone wrong with Priya Nath.“Main to kabhee be-adab naheen hooaa thhaa Babaji ke saamne.“I was never impertinent before Babaji.”Priya Nath finds that the litigation has so taxed his brain that he has become constantly vexed and irritable. He recollects Shri Nathji’s words:“If you think of a flower, you become a flower, but if you think of a thorn, it pricks you all the time.”At one point, Shri Nathji appears so deeply affected by Priya Nath’s words that he says:“Aap aur Bhayya apni apni shadiyaan karlo aur alag raho – main nikal jaaoongaa!”“You and your brother should get married and live as you like – I will go away!”Priya Nath is so touched by these words that he weeps whenever he thinks of them. His “lost” love for Shri Nathji returns and he embraces him again and again, kissing him on his chest and shoulders and tending to him more affectionately than ever. “Itnaa to khyaal rakhte ho! To kyaa huyaa agar larr lete ho – pyaaar bhee to itnaa karte ho!”“You look after me so much! So what if you quarrel occasionally – you love me so much as well!”Priya Nath’s major complaint against Shri Nathji had always been that He was not using His Divine Power for Himself and allowing illnesses and troubles to come to him – and this “complaint” remained with him right up to the time Shri Nathji left the world in September 1992.
