There is the threat to India’s Unity and Integrity in the news, and Shri Nathji says with great power:“I WON’T LET ANYONE TAKE INDIA.”Even though Shri Nathji had said: “My body belongs to India but my heart belongs to the whole world”, yet he had a special affinity for India.“MERE HINDUSTAN KI TARAF KOYI AANKH UTTHAAKE NAA DEKHE!“LET NO ONE CAST AN EVIL EYE AT MY HINDUSTAN!”In Akola, in 1978, Shri Nathji had said with great loudness:“Bharat duniyaan men sab se barraa hai!“India is the greatest nation in the world!”Shri Nathji had said once: “If the people of India are poor they also have the endurance and patience to bear their poverty. People in the western countries would have committed suicide under similar circumstances!“Yahaan ki gareebee men ek saihan sheeltaa hai!”“In the poverty here there is the power of endurance!”“Ye India hee hai jahaan kutte bhee sarrkon par pal jaate hain!“It is only India where even dogs can survive on the streets!”Shri Nathji would speak of the virtues of the Indian “Huzoor, duniyaan men kaheen bhee chale jaao magar Hindustan jaisaa garam phulkaa kaheen naheen miltaa!“Huzoor no matter where you may go in the world, but you can never get a nice hot ‘phulkaa’ as here in India!”India was the only country in which four presidents had been successively blessed by Shri Nathji–Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Dr. Zakir Husein, Shri V.V. Giri and Giani Zail Singh.
