Priya Nath suddenly discovers a cassette of a ghazal he had sung which Shri Nathji had written on the 10th of April 1985:“Anvaar ke aalam men hamdoshe Surayiyaa hoon“In this Universe of Light I stand shoulder to shoulder with the Galaxies of Stars,Here was a fantastic, fascinating Revelation of Divinity, which was beyond the concept of all poetry. Here was Shri Nathji revealing Himself as the Lord of Light, the Lord of the Universe. THE REAL FORM OF SHRI NATHJI WAS REVEALED BY HIM IN THIS GHAZAL, AS AN INFINITE FIGURE OF LIGHT, STANDING SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH THE GALAXIES IN THE UNIVERSE. IT WAS AN ALTOGETHER AWESOME PICTURE – THE VIRAAT ROOP OF THE CREATOR.Shri Nathji had simply written this ghazal in an off-hand, peremptory manner, and set it aside. Priya Nath had composed a tune to it and they had listened to it once or twice in April 1985 and, thereafter, forgotten all about it. Shri Nathji had often given the definition of the Infinite as follows:“Do you know the definition of the Infinite? The Infinite is He before whom the entire Universe exists like a tiny mustard seed – and who in turn exists even inside the mustard seed, assuming a shape tinier than it!”As He would say in Hindustani:“Aap jaante hain anant ki paribhaashaa kyaa hai? Anant vo hai jiske saamne saaraa Brahmaand ek raayi ke daane ke samaan hai. Aur jo khud uss raayi ke daane men uss se bhee chhota bankar samaayaa huaa hai!”Here was Shri Nathji’s human form confined within a small room in a small bungalow upon earth, beset upon by self-imposed human frailties, illnesses and limitations, appearing to engage in the mundane earthly tasks of life – while in Reality He existed in the vastness of Infinity, encompassing Infinity itself.
