In a mood of reverie Shri Nathji speaks of the past: how R.R.Khanna had offered his daughter in marriage to Shri Nathji, but how Shri Babaji had selected Savitri Devi at Lahore. It had come as a great shock to Khanna and, especially to his wife, who had wept bitterly, and beaten her breasts in a gesture of mourning, when welcoming Mahamateshwari and Shri Nathji to their home at Lucknow.“Main ek saagar hoon jo kabhi shankh phenktaa hoon, kabhi kauriyaan…magar utth ke mat chale jaana – aisaa na ho ke aap utth ke jaayen aur moti aa jaayen!“I am like an ocean which throws out various kinds of shells. But don’t go away! Who knows that the next wave may bring pearls!”And Shri Bhatt had replied:“Prabhuji, iss saagar se to sivaaye motiyon ke aur kuchh nikaltaa hi naheen!“Prabhuji, nothing but pearls come from this ocean!”Shri Bhatt used to tell people, as Shri Nathji recollected: “Zyaada se zyaadaa jaate raho – na maalum kis vakt kaunsi kripaa aa jaaye!“Keep on going (to Shri Nathji) – as often as you can! Who knows what Grace may come from Him at any moment!”Shri Nathji says:“Praapti ke pashchaat bhee praapti ki maang ko naheen chhorrna hai! Ye Vedon men bhee likhaa hai!“Even after having attained one’s goal, one must not leave aside the desire for attainment! This is written in the Vedas as well!”Shri Nathji had often given the warning:“When a drop of water falls into the ocean, it reaches its goal and becomes one with the ocean. But it must never give way to pride, or else the Rays of the Sun can cause the drop to evaporate and become separate from the ocean again!” “Moksha ke pashchaat bhee manushya ko abhimaan naheen karna hai!“Man must not give way to pride even after attaining salvation!”
