A certain Purshottam Kataria from Indore, a young man about thirty, who had developed intense faith in Shri Nathji over the years, comes and offers to spend the rest of his life in the service of Shri Nathji. He is unmarried and has no obligations. Shri Nathji speaks lovingly to him and says:“Not everyone can be selected for this Divine Service – but your application will be accepted!”And the man stays on to become part and parcel of Shri Nathji’s household.“Priyaji itnaa vaiham naheen karna chahiye. Ek parhaa likhaa aadmi aapke saath ho jaaye to kitnaa“Priyaji, don’t be so skeptical. An educated person like him can be useful to you in your work. He wishes to dedicate his entire life. Such people are hard to find.”Shri Nathji was right. In the years that followed not only did the man give up his past associations, but he also became a valued member of the household who performed great services for Shri Nathji and Priya Nath even in some of the most trying moments. Indeed, such a sincere devotee had seldom come and served Shri Nathji for so many years together. Perhaps he was an incarnation of the devotees of old, who had long since left the planet earth.
