Shri Nathji speaks to a group of devotees, using Urdu couplets which He had stopped using since a long time. Priya Nath would frequently remind Shri Nathji of His old favourite couplets and urge Him to use them as often as He could. “Ab vo log hee naheen rahe!“People are not the same as they used to be in the days past!”Shri Nathji used to quote His verse:“Khair too Saaki sahi magar pilaayegaa too kisse“True, Thou art the Saaki still, but who willst Thou give to drink?Indeed, the days of Shri Nathji’s youth had seen many genuine seekers after Truth, who sought God for the sake of God, and not for the sake of the things of the world.“ASLI BHAKTI TAB SHUROO HOTI HAI JAB BHAKT BHAGWAN SE SIVAAYE BHAGWAN KE AUR KUCHH BHEE NA MAANGE!”Shri Nathji had said that even saints and sages should not desire anything from God except God:“Khilaafe tareekat bavad Auliyaa“It is against the nature of SaintsShri Nathji’s verse on this particular day of December 1991 was:“Ai raihrave farzaana raste men agar tere Gulshan hai to shabnam ho,“O Wise Traveller, if before thee,Indeed in this verse Shri Nathji explained the manner in which a person had to pass through the journey of life. He had to adapt himself to all the circumstances in life that came before him.
