After 6 pm Pitaji’s breathing took a strange turn. It was almost as he were breathing in very faint, short, rapid gasps. His eyes were closed and his mouth partially open.WITHIN A FEW MINUTES PITAJI’S BREATHING APPEARED TO FADE AND THEN STOP. I called out to Dr. Sood loudly who saw the situation and immediately began an external cardiac message, pressing down upon Pitaji’s chest and heart, and telling me to prepare for the Hospital immediately. He told me that PITAJI’S HEART HAD STOPPED.“It stops intermittently and is revived by the massage. Let us get Him to a Hospital as quickly as possible!”I telephoned Dr. Ravi Saxena at the AIIMS, who was shocked, and who asked me to bring Pitaji to the Emergency ward of the AIIMS where he would be waiting for us.
