I telephoned Bhayya and asked him whether we should start for the cremation grounds. And he said in a voice full of emotion:“YES, YES…GO TAKE PITAJI….PITAJI IS GOD! GOD BLESS YOU! GOD BLESS YOU!”It was as if Pitaji was talking through Bhayya, giving me His last Blessings. I wondered how Bhayya must have borne the grief all alone in His room in London with no one to even console him. But brave spirit that He was – He was consoling me from thousands of miles across the seas.“Dil men taakat jo hai inke, har ik ko mil paaye kahaan“His Heart is filled with a strength given to no one else”We moved Pitiji outside the big room and into the small porch of the house. Pitaji was laid to rest on a small wooden ladder, which I did not particularly like, but which was the custom.“Isske baare men kahaa gayaa hai ke Daadaa le to potaa chalaata hai!“It has been said about this car, that the Grandfather buys it and the Grandson drives it.”Alas, Pitaji had no grandson who would drive this car. It was an unfulfilled wish of Pitaji.“SHRI BHOLA NATHJI BHAGWAN KI JAI!”Pitaji’s smile appeared to brighten as flowers were showered upon Him. I accompanied Pitaji all the way to the waiting light blue vehicle, applying my shoulder to Him as He was raised above the heads of the crowd and laid to rest inside the Carriage. “Mubaarik ho Makeene Laa-makaan aayen hain duniyaa men,“Good Tidings be to all – He who was without limits, Has come upon earth in a Dwelling Place –The earth watched in silence, the skies and the sun watched in silence, the house watched in silence; the lawn, the driveway, the gate, the grass upon which Pitaji had trodden and the tree in the lawn watched in silence as Shri Nathji took farewell. The numerous birds that used to gather in the tree to peep at their Lord and Master over the years, watched in silence as their Master left the house. The birds rose to fly away, into the depths of the skies, never to return.PITAJI APPEARED TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL SMILE ON HIS FACE.Kapil Kapahi who sat alongside me in the Carriage was chanting in a doleful voice:“Jai Nath, Jai Nath, Jai, Jai, Nath,“All Glory Unto Thee O Nath,As the procession passed along the route, the Divine Glory on the Face and Figure of Pitaji was so strong that people everywhere were compelled to bow their heads in humble obeisance – a tribute to the Godhead of Pitaji.“Aati hai jahaan men Shahe Mashraq ki savaari,“The Procession of the Emperor of the East has come into the world“Badle hai koyi aan men ab range zamaana“Someone has changed the face of the world in a trice,Indeed, Pitaji had changed the Face of the World from that of War to that of Peace. And His Procession was going into the world to let the world know who had come and saved it and had allowed Himself to be crucified for its sins.
