It’s 6:30 am. Pitaji is gargling with the hot water I gave Him a few minutes ago – because He had coughed up sputum, which was white and frothy, 3 times in succession at 6:30 am. “Achhaa garaaraa ho gayaa!“It was a good gargle!”Dr. Marya had advised a chest X-Ray in the beginning but had not reminded us again even after several visits. Maybe the lungs were clear. Dr. Barat had said the white frothy sputum was due to heart failure, but Dr. Marya had refuted this – and there the matter rested.“Jab utthoge, Piyaji, chilamji utthaa lenaa!“When you get up, Piyaji, you can remove the wash basin.”The green plastic wash basin had been placed there by me when Pitaji washed his hands in it–and thereafter I had forgotten to remove it! It was sad that Shri Nathji had to remind me gently to do so.
