The former President of India, Giani Zail Singh, came to pay homage to Shri Nathji. He lit the ‘jyoti’ lamp beneath Shri Nathji’s portrait. He gave a lecture on Shri Nathji’s greatness and added:“Mujhe Shri Nathji ko milkar barri khushi huyi tthee!“I was filled with great happiness on meeting Shri Nathji.”Priya Nath briefly recalled how the President, Giani Zail Singh, had in February 1987, given a reception to Shri Nathji in the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President’s House. He had especially sent over his car to bring Shri Nathji to the President’s House. He had apologized to Shri Nathji saying:“I should have come to your place myself, but there are restrictions on my movements – so I had to trouble you to come here and give me your ‘As Shri Nathji’s flow of Urdu and Persian poetry had overwhelmed the President, who was great scholar of these languages himself, he had found himself in a hitherto unexperienced spiritual state of Divine Bliss.“Shri Nathji’s Divine Power is such that He can change a person’s life in a single glance.”On June 23, 1993, Priya Nath spoke to a packed hall. It was the first time such a large audience had gathered on a World Prayer Day. Now that Shri Nathji had gone – this was yet another of His miracles, to attract such a large gathering to honour Priya Nath.
