As the month of July 1981 advanced and Shri Nathji’s health continued to deteriorate, Priya Nath wondered whether the glory of the birthday celebrations had caused someone’s evil eye, “Pataa naheen kis ki nazar lag gayi.I wonder who cast an evil eye.”Shri Nathji had often said to Priya Nath that Shri Babaji, who never believed in black magic and the like, always said there was such a thing as a ““Babaji kahaan karte thhe:“Son, there may or may not such a thing as magic, but there is definitely such a thing as ‘nazar’-the evil-eye, which has an effect.”Shri Nathji, in his innocence, had been proclaiming before all that he was turning eighty, and was appearing to enjoy the best of good health and looking as young as young could be.
