Shri Nathji was always concerned about the loyalty of his devotees and often narrated how the saints, sages and prophets and avatars of the past had been recognised by very few, in all religions of the world: “Hamen bahut dukh hogaa, agar hamen pataa lagaa ke saari umar lagaakar ham das loyal aadmi bhi naheen paidaa kar sake.”“It shall be a very sad day for me if I come to learn, that, after the effort of a life time, I was not able to make even ten loyal followers.”It was Shri Nathji’s humility that prompted him to say this. Thousands of people had come to know him throughout his life–and there had been some very loyal devotees in the past, like Chief Justice Bhutt, Gangabai Bhutt, R.R. Khanna and numerous others, but out of those before him, those absolutely loyal were far and few between. “Nanak kotan men kou Nanak there is but one amongst millions!”Indeed, once Shri Nathji had said: “Ham jitnaa aapko pyaar karten hain koyi nahin duniyaan men kartaa.“Nobody loves you as much as I do in this world!”In fact, the people of the world loved Shri Nathji for the Bliss and Happiness he gave them. Everyone wanted something from him. Some wanted wealth, some success, some children, some health, a long life–the chain was endless. Few wanted Shri Nathji for his own sake. And those that did, were so enmeshed in their own world that they had little time to attend upon Shri Nathji.
