In the late night satsang the Kapahis speak of sadhus and mahatmas who are busy acquiring wealth and properties and followers by the thousands to glorify their names. “Apnaa bhaar to utthaa naheen sakte, doosron kaa bhaar kaise utthaayenge.“These persons cannot carry their own burdens, how can they carry the burden of others? Shri Nathji had also said elsewhere:“Jiss mahatma men ek bhi shishya banaane ki ichhaa baaki raih jaati hai–yaa jo chaahataa hai uskaa naam ho, dhan-daulat ekatrit kare – vo mahatma Bhagwan ki nazaron se gir jaataa hai, aur dar asal mahatma hee naheen hotaa.“Any saint or mahatma who has the desire within him to make even one follower or who desires name, fame and wealth–falls in the eyes of God, and is, in reality, not a mahatma at all.”When a person had come to Shri Nathji and said: “Be happy that there are imitations. Imitations merely prove the existence of the Real Thing, which they imitate. So, if imitations exists, that, which they imitate, must also exist.”Priya Nath recalls the meeting Chief Justice Bhutt had with his colleagues to prove that Shri Nathji was God Incarnate upon earth. Many interesting arguments and logic were used by the learned group to prove Shri Nathji’s avatarhood. A poor peon, who was listening to this learned digression, interposed and said:“Sirs, of what use these proofs of Shri Nathji’s Avatarhood, HIS FACE IS ENOUGH TO PROVE HE IS GOD. Priya Nath says humorously: “Those who go to fake mahatmas get what they want. Both fit each other!”Shri Nathji and the devotees break out into laughter. Shri Nathji’s laughter is exhilarating and infectious. It is God laughing at the antics of the humans He created.
