Shri Nathji said to a gathering of poor devotees assembled before him:“Main uskaa khaataa hoon ke khaaoon main aur pet uskaa bhare. Aapke paas do rotiyaan thheen, maine ek maang lee, aap do khaakar bhee bhooke raihte, so ek khaakar bhee bhooke raih liye.“I only eat the food of one who feels satiated if I have eaten his food. You have only two ‘rotis’, and I ask of you one, and you give it to me. As a consequence you remain hungry, but you know that you would have remained hungry even on two rotis, so it does not matter to you.”
