There is the sound of the chirping of birds every morning outside Shri Nathji’s windows. Shri Nathji is very fond of a particular “coo-cooing” bird that rests on a stone pillar outside the house, and always asks whether it is there. “Coo-coo-coo! Coo-coo-coo!”And Shri Nathji would interpret this as the sound of the bird hailing his presence upon earth and saying as his devotees used to say:“Jai-jai-jai-! Jai-jai-jai-!”Shri Nathji would often innocently ask Priya Nath whenever he heard the sound of birds in the lawn outside:“VoApart from this cuckoo bird there were numerous sparrows that had made Shri Nathji’s bathroom ventilator as their home. Shri Nathji would be loathe to have their nests shifted from the spot.
