Arjuna had been so frightened of the Universal Form of Lord Krishna that his hair had stood on end out of fear. He had to ask Lord Krishna to hide the fearsome appearance and to return to his familiar form as a human being.“When Lord Krishna revealed his Viraat Roop, it was the spectre of the face of the Universe, with millions being born and millions dying, millions of human beings being swallowed by the open mouth of the Lord, with volcanoes bursting and oceans parting, mountains crumbling and the earth parting, of creation and destruction amidst the infinity of the skies, the stars and the galaxies. It was a vision that was too powerful and too dreadful to behold for any living being upon earth. Arjuna was nearly frightened to death and he asked the Lord to hide the dreadful form. Later Lord Krishna said to Arjuna:‘Sarv dharmaan parityajya maam ekam sharanam vrajLeaving aside all thoughts seek thou a refuge in me!’”And Priya Nath continued in a humorous vein:“Prabhuji hamen Rama aur Krishna to aap men nazar aate hain, magar aap uss se zyaadaa kitne aur anant hain ham andaazaa bhee naheen lagaa sakte!“Prabhuji, we can see Rama and Krishna in you, but we cannot even fathom the full extent of your infinite form!”
