In between this atmosphere of happiness, there is the sudden sad news from Mrs. Gangabai Bhutt, from Nagpur, that her daughter Kalimayi has left for her heavenly abode. Shri Nathji is saddened and sends a telegram to Mrs. Bhutt: “Blessings. Received News. Kalimayi immortal. Letter follows. Bhola Nath, Priya Nath.”And later Shri Nathji dictates a long letter in Hindi to Priya Nath for Mrs. Bhutt.“She is in a state in which no evil thoughts or actions can emanate from her. She is thus freed of the cycle of karma and its result. She is truly blessed. I am not worried about her future. People ask me: ‘What will happen to Kalimayi if you die first?’ And I tell them, ‘I am convinced that my God will take Kalimayi before He takes me!’”
