Shri Nathji’s lecture on the World Prayer Day at Vigyan Bhavan on June 24, 1984, is played on the tape recorder. There is Shri Nathji’s voice ringing out loud and clear:“We must undergo suffering to unite with God. Christ had to undergo the pain of crucifixion!”Shri Nathji also listens to a tape recording he had made in English earlier, in which he has said:“I was ill and I recovered, but that does not mean I will not fall ill again or escape death!”The words sound cryptic to Priya Nath who does not wish to associate the words of illness and death with Shri Nathji but knows in his heart of hearts that he must face them when they come.“Jab sab thheek chal rahaa hai doctor ki kyaa zaroorat hai. Aise hee koyi vaiham daal jaayegaa!“When everything is going all right, why call a doctor? He could create an unnecessary worry.”It is also in a rare moment that Shri Nathji reveals how Shri Babaji Maharaj had said to him one day when he was young:““Son, give up your body to me!”Meaning thereby that Shri Nathji’s body was meant for the work of God upon earth.
