September 1985 brings a new and tragic phase into the lives of Shri Nathji and Priya Nath–the departure of Sudha Tekade from the scene. For the past five years she had loyally cooked for Shri Nathji and been the recipient of his daily benedictions and divine grace and the flow of his nectar of words. Shri Nathji’s voice would be frequently heard calling out “Sudha! Soo-dhaa!” lovingly in the house, almost throughout the day. He treated her more lovingly than a father treating her daughter, and she in turn served him loyally. Even though she was about 50 years of age, Shri Nathji spoke to her as if she were a child. She had become a part and parcel of Shri Nathji’s household.“I wish to return and there is no hesitation of any kind in my mind.”Both Shri Nathji and Priya Nath were pleased at her reply and finalised the arrangements for her departure.
