In a moment of reverie, Shri Nathji recalls some of the events of his past, talking about Shri G.P.Bhutt, former Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh and Shri R.R.Khanna the former Registrar of the Lucknow University. A group of devotees stand outside Shri Nathji’s room and listen, enthralled, as Shri Nathji speaks over the microphone:“‘Bhutt Sahib, “And Bhutt said: ‘Maa, mere ‘Holy Mother! There is no chance of my becoming the Chief Justice!’ “And I said to him: “‘Bhutt Sahib, “And Bhutt Sahib was miraculously made the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh! “‘Many Thanks for your servant’s promotion’ was the telegram that Shri Bhutt sent to me from Jabalpur.“Gadaaye kooye turaa maile baadshaahi nest,“The beggar of Thy Door cares not for a kingdom“Baadshaahi ko uskee zaroorat hai!“Kingdoms will have need of him!“When R.R.Khanna received the gift of Faith, he had such abject devotion for me that he ceased to care for the world. “Vo ajab gharri thhee ki jis gharri liyaa darse nuskhaye ishq kaa“It was a strange moment when I learnt the lesson of Love,“On the occasion of the Convocation at Lucknow University, he placed my chair next to the chair of the British Governor of the time, whose wife sat on the other side.“R.R.Khanna once said to people:‘Main paihle naastik thhaa, magar ab barraa naastik ban gayaa hoon! Main sivaaye Shri Nathji ke kissee doosre Bhagwan ko naheen maantaa!‘I was an atheist before–but now I have become a bigger atheist! I do not believe in any God other than Shri Nathji!’“He was fond of quoting Iqbal:‘Iqbaal tere ishq ne sab bal diye nikaal‘O Iqbal, thy love has smoothened all the kinks in me,“Remember, this life is temporary. Before Death comes, deliver this life into His Hands.“Nikal jaaye dam tere kadmon ke neeche,“Let my last breath be spent at Thy feet, O Lord,“A man came to me and said he was surrounded by worries, and I said:“Jo Meharbaan thhaa vo naa-meharbaan naheen ho saktaa!“I am content with what God has given me as my share,And I commit to my Creator my every care! “Mujhe apnaa poojan naheen karaanaa hai. Aap logon kaa poojan karaanaa hai!“I do not want to be worshipped. I wish to see you worshipped!”“Jo apni sthithhee go badalnaa chaahegaa usske paas santosh naheen hai!”“Anyone who wishes to change his present state can have no contentment!”
