On July 11, 1986, the powers of evil make another deadly strike at Shri Nathji’s delicate body. He is feeling wonderful, with a new zest for writing, and is listening to the 1973 speech he delivered at Tara Buty’s house at Nagpur. He later dictates his book on Prayer to Priya Nath. In-between he goes to the toilet once and says that the urine stream had fantastic strength and force and even reached the wall beyond the toilet seat. All this is music to Priya Nath’s ears.“Priyaji! Paaata naheen kyaa ho rahaa hai!” He comes out of the toilet and is barely able to make it to his armchair in the big room. Priya Nath rushes to his side and places a Sorbitrate tablet in his mouth. But much before he can swallow it, he vomits and becomes unconscious.“Kitnaa miracle huaa hai ke ham abhee tak ghar hee men hain, hospital jaane ke bajaaye!”“What a miracle it is that we are still in the house instead of the hospital!”Shri Nathji wants Priya Nath to record the miracle:“The above sequence of events revealed the hand of Shri Nathji working to save him and me at each and every step of life. O Dear, Dear, LORD, a million crores of thanks to Thee,” records Priya Nath in his diary later.“Kyaa pyaasaa bhee kuaan kodh saktaa haiPrayer became such a small thing when one was hit by a sudden calamity. How right Shri Nathji had been when he had said that he remained around his devotee like the air, which kept a person alive all the time–even when a person was not capable of praying.
