Shri Babaji Bhagwan left Lahore and went to Amritsar. After a brief stay there he decided to go to Jammu. While en route to Jammu by train, Shri Babaji Bhagwan discovered that he had lost his purse. There was a fellow passenger in the same compartment, and Shri Babaji Bhagwan explained the circumstances to him and asked the man whether he could lend him two hundred rupees.
The man was deeply touched by the personality of Shri Babaji Bhagwan. Although Shri Babaji never dressed in the saffron clothes of saints and sages and was to all practical purposes dressed as any other man of the world, there was something in his personality that all at once revealed the divinity within him. Indeed no dress could veil the divinity within Shri Babaji Bhagwan.

Kab libaase dunyavi men chhupte hain roshan zameer
Jaamaye faanoos men bhee sholaa uriyaan hee rahaa

How can the vestments of the world veil the Inner Light?
The Flame must reveal itself through the glass of the chimney

The man offered the money to Shri Babaji Bhagwan, and Shri Babaji Bhagwan said to him: “This is a loan and I must repay it!”
The man said: “No, no, Sir, I shall be very privileged if you accept this money. Please do not think of repaying it.”
But Shri Babaji Bhagwan said: “No, this is a loan and I insist that I pay it back. You have my address at Jammu. Come to my place so that I can repay the amount.”
Many days later the man came to see Shri Babaji Bhagwan at Jammu. He was accompanied by Maharaja Pratap Singh of Jammu and Kashmir. At that time multitudes were flocking for the darshan and blessings of Shri Babaji Bhagwan.
Shri Babaji met the man first and said: “ So you have come for the amount.”
The man bowed low before Shri Babaji Bhagwan and said: “Sire I have just discovered who you are. It was my good fortune that I could give the amount to you. Please do not think of repaying it. I have come to ask you for something else. I have been married for many years. I have daughters but no son. Please bless me so that I may have one son.”
Shri Babaji Bhagwan said: “Magar paise to do sau thhe! But the amount was two hundred!”
At the time the man could not understand what Shri Babaji Bhagwan meant. However he understood later. Two sons were born to him.
