Shri Nathji had lived with Shri Babaji Maharaj at Amritsar up to 1934, and had thereafter shifted to Lahore in 1935, where he and Shri Babaji Maharaj stayed together till December 1940, when Shri Babaji Maharaj left the physical world.
Shri Nathji’s name had become legend in Lahore. Multitudes thronged to him. His divine beauty and his divine oratory, and the feeling of love, peace and bliss that accompanied both, had made people experience a hitherto unfelt feeling in their lives which had brought them face to face with God. People had but to pray to him and all their difficulties in life were resolved.
Whenever he left the city, the railway platforms were filled with tearful, weeping crowds. It was as if he were their nearest and dearest love one. Anyone who had ever met Shri Nathji even once in his entire life found separation from him difficult.
People were so engulfed by Shri Nathji’s Love that everything else in the world ceased to matter. It was a common sight to see people burst out into tears whenever they came before him even for the first time in their lives, and just as common a sight to see them depart in tears.
