Shri Nathji was born in the hills of Abbotabad in district Peshawar, in Punjab in the year 1902 A.D. The date was June 23, and it was Tuesday. The time was 5:25 a.m. in the early hours of the morning. His parents hailed from Batala in the Punjab.
He spent his youth living with Shri Babaji Maharaj in Batala, Simla, Nabha, Jammu, and, finally Amritsar where he lived up to 1934. From 1935 onwards Shri Nathji and Babaji began to live at Lahore.
From the years 1929 to 1947 Shri Nathji would be seen travelling back and forth from the Punjab to the state of U.P. in Northern India. Specifically, from 1929 to 1936 he went to Mussoorie from Amritsar and Lahore, visiting Lucknow in between.
In 1937 he had made Dehra Dun his home. He was married to Savitri Devi in 1939 at Lahore. He continued to visit Mussoorie and Lahore again over the years from 1939 to 1946, and in 1947, shifted permanently to the mountains of Mussoorie in the Himalayas.
In U.P. itself, Lucknow and Allahabad received his special attention during these years. The dry and cool climate of Mussoorie provided a relief from the heat of the plains during the summers, and it was also a place where Shri Nathji met people from many parts of India.
Shri Nathji later focused his attention on Delhi while still living at Mussoorie. He went to the regions of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh in the 1950’s and visited England, Europe and America during the years 1963-1967. He returned to India to reside at Mussoorie and, in later years, from 1970 onwards, began to live at New Delhi from where he merged into his Eternal Infinite Self in the year 1992, thus bringing his avatar upon earth to an end.
