Shri Nathji went to Benares some time later at the invitation of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviye. Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was the Vice Chancellor there at the time. When Dr. Radhakrishnan heard that Shri Nathji had come to the University, he immediately left a meeting he was conducting and came for Shri Nathji’s darshan.
He took Shri Nathji to Mahatma Gandhi who was there during those days and introduced Shri Nathji to him. When Mahatma Gandhi asked Shri Nathji what his mission in life was Shri Nathji said, Divine Love. A hidden chord was touched in Mahatma Gandhi’s soul but Shri Nathji did not disclose his Real Self to him. Perhaps this was done so that Gandhi could concentrate on the affairs of the country rather than be absorbed in a life of total absorption in God.
Albeit Shri Nathji gave him a copy of a gramophone record that contained his voice delivering his famous Message of Peace – Shanti Sandesh. It was a record that many kept in their homes as containing the Sacred Voice of God. The recording had been made in Calcutta when Shri Nathji was there in 1937.
