In 1936, Shri Nathji stayed at Dilaram Estate on Camel’s Back Road, Mussoorie. It was a place that belonged to a famed barrister of Lucknow, a certain Chaudhary Hyder Husein, who had great regard for Shri Nathji.
Shri Babaji Maharaj had also come for a brief visit to Mussoorie at the calling of Shri Nathji and was staying with Shri Nathji at Dilaram Estate showering his divine blessings on the city of Mussoorie. The divine atmosphere at the place was indescribable. Rehana came for Shri Nathji’s darshan again. She soon found himself lost in a spiritual bliss that was beyond description. She became a part of the daily gathering of devotees there and enthralled everyone by her music. She had the unusual ability of being able to simulate the sound of a flute with her mouth.
Divine Rays were showered upon the gathering by Shri Nathji and Shri Babaji Maharaj both. Mussoorie had been truly blessed with the presence of these two Great Beings.
After that meeting at Dilaram Estate, Rehana continued to see Shri Nathji at Mussoorie and Dehra Dun over the years. Her innermost thoughts about Shri Nathji were expressed by her in the book, The Hearts of the Devotees, which was published from Dehra Dun in 1937, where she described herself as Shri Nathji’s divine sister, and also likened herself to a Gopi in Brindavan whose Lord Krishna was Shri Nathji.
She recorded in her writings that Shri Nathji’s humility and etiquette were so great that she had never seen him raise his eyes to look directly at anyone. It was a humility which was not of this world, one in which he had completely effaced his own self.
She was very happy when Shri Nathji got married in 1939, and would then walk very proudly at the side of Shri Nathji and His wife, Mateshwari, at Dehra Dun. Shri Nathji had always observed the strictest of etiquette with respect to women and it would have been unthinkable for her to walk on the road with him before his marriage. As the years passed, Rehana turned into a saint and was known as a realised soul by many. But her reverence for Shri Nathji always remained the same.
