However, by that time the trains had become unsafe for traveling, and, therefore seats were booked on an aeroplane for Shri Nathji, Mateshwari and the children. It was the first time in the life of Shri Nathji that he and his family were travelling by plane.
For a while, Shri Nathji saw his past association with Lahore unfold itself before his mind’s eye once again.
It was in Lahore that Shri Babaji Maharaj had established an eternal relationship with Amire Kabul, the King of Afghanistan in 1914.
Shri Nathji recollected his first visit to the city with Shri Babaji Maharaj, when he had driven in a carriage through the streets with Shri Babaji Maharaj by his side; he was then only about 12 years old.
Shri Nathji recalled the subsequent visits of Shri Babaji Maharaj to the city, which had been short but meaningful.
Shri Nathji’s mind went back to the days when he had come alone to Lahore in 1928, impelled by a divine force, and how people had been overwhelmed by his Divine Revelation at Sanatan Dharam College.
He recollected how, after staying in Amritsar till 1934, Shri Nathji and Shri Babaji Maharaj had shifted permanently to Lahore, and lived there from 1935 onwards.
It was in Lahore that Shri Nathji was married to Savitri Devi, the daughter of Lala Hargopal Khanna on the 7th of May 1939.
It was in Lahore that Shri Nathji’s first son, Pran Nath, had been born on February 22, 1940.
And it was in Lahore that Shri Babaji Maharaj had left his physical frame on December 13, 1940, and mingled into his Eternal Immortal Self.
In later years, after 1940, as Shri Nathji had settled down in Mussoorie, he had come to Lahore only during the winter vacations of his children, i.e. from December 1944 to March 1945, and thereafter from December 1946 to March 1947, which was to be his last visit.
As the plane carrying Shri Nathji went up in the skies over Lahore, Shri Nathji closed his eyes and blessed the residents of the city from above. It was an ideal place from where to bless the people of the earth below. He was bidding farewell to Lahore. His Blessings would remain with the people of Lahore, giving them courage and hope in the midst of turmoil. Though Shri Nathji was departing from them on the physical plane, he had become nearer to them than ever before on the spiritual plane.
