Shri Nathji would say in his sermons:
What is the definition of a devotee? One who is blind and deaf to the world, and all eyes and all ears for his Beloved.
“You cannot run away from me, for I have paid the price to secure you – I have given you myself!
You say you exist – but who are you? Your eyes? Your nose? Your ears? No. All the parts put together, collectively, form yourself. Similarly, I exist collectively in you – all of you are my parts! There is an inner recognition between us, which exists like the recognition between an iron and a magnet. But the two must be at a proper distance and free of rust. Your peace is my peace! Lock your brains, and bring your hearts to me! For blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God! I have not come as a Master but as a Servant!
